:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:
In the hour of adversity be not without hope,
For crystal rain falls from black clouds.
Persian poem
:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:
My horsey friend sent me this saying about crystal rain and I wrote it down. If I can focus on that rain instead of the black clouds that hang over my life, then maybe I can move forward. I know from experience that if I am not moving forward and think that I am standing still, I am really going backwards.
I have a picture that my daughter drew awhile back hanging from the mantle on the fireplace. It is of a tall tree and there are branches that come off from it. There are green leaves on the branches of the tree, and there is a big red heart drawn next to the tree. I think about my life and whether I am growing and whether I have living parts to my life like the green leaves. Does my recent life really show any growth?
I long more for that growth now than I have in a long time. No longer can I be satisfied thinking that I am standing still, because I know the reality and can't trick myself into thinking otherwise!

'I long more for that growth now than I have in a long time.' Go ahead and take that first step--continuing the tree metaphor--green leaves replace dead leaves if the tree is nurtured with all that surrounds it.
